ARCADE MACHINE INSTRUCTIONS - COIN OPERATE MACHINES

Here you'll find basic instructions on how to use one of our coin operated machines.

How do I start to play?

To play a game simply enter the number of coins stated on the outside of the machine (usually £1), or if the machine has a card reader tap your contactless card or phone to debit the amount shown on the machine.

Once the coins or card payment is accepted you will be able to select the game of your choice by using the joystick to select the game you wish to play and pressing the white player 1 start button (on a 60 game machine) or the A button, (which is top left) on any other machine.
How do I play 2 player
To play any game as 2 player, this is slightly different on the different game board options.

If the screen says Pandora's Box at the top follow these instructions:
1. Firstly entered the required number of coins to play on the machine. You will need a minimum of 2 credits to play any game in 2 player mode.
2. Select game that you want to play using the joystick, or even search for a game by name. When you have the game you would like to play hit player 1 A button (top left).
3. When the game has loaded begin to play by pressing the player 2 start button (white with 2 men on it).
If the screen does NOT say Pandora's Box at the top then follow these instructions:
1. Firstly entered the required number of coins to play on the machine. You will need a minimum of 2 credits to play any game in 2 player mode.
2. Select game that you want to play using the joystick. When you have the game you would like to play highlighted hit player 2 start button (white with 2 men on it). The game will then load and start in 2 player mode.
How long does a credit last

A single credit will essentially give you 1 'go' playing. This will vary depending on the type of machine you are playing. For example on a game of pacman it usually gives you 3 lives, but on other games that weren't originally meant to be played in arcades, these have a time limit instead set on the machine.

Don't worry you can always add additional coins to continue your game if you run out of lives or time.
How do I exit a game

If you are playing on a 60 game arcade machine then the machine will automatically send you back to the main menu when your credit is used. On the Pandora box machines, you simply hold down the player 1 start button until the menu appears, then select exit and press A.
